About Whitefish Falls, Ontario This little town of approximately 500 people is snuggled in a basin created by the White Dolomites of the LaCloche Mountains where the famous 'Group of Seven' Canadian Artists painted during the last century. This unorganized township is located along highway #6 half-way between Espanola and Little Current on Manitoulin Island; just 20 minutes from each town. It is the gateway to Lake Huron through the North Channel with is dotted with many small picturesque islands and whose waters contain such fish species as: Northern Pike, lake Trout, Whitefish, Coho Salmon, Pickerel and Muskelonge. The town is situated on the WhiteFish River which drains into Lake Huron (North Channel) and has a convenience store with gas pumps, exquisite hotel with find dining on river front, two lard holiday resorts that are fully booked from the months of May to October. There is a community hall which houses an annual art exhibition with tow nearby communities: Red Deer Village: where approximately 50 of the most elegant and custom built homes situated on the North Channel water front stand. and: Willisville huddled in a valley between two peaks of the LaCloche Mountains situated near large water named Charlton Lake.
